Why Purses for Progeria?

Cam is my grandson. When he was diagnosed with Progeria, my family and friends encouraged me to turn my long term hobby of making felted purses into a means of fundraising – and "Purses for Progeria" was born!

Here was a way to contribute - by selling these handknit felted purses and giving all the proceeds to The Progeria Research Foundation. I threw myself into the project and was thrilled to be approached by dozens of people offering to help.


After one short year, "Purses for Progeria" is thriving thanks to the support and generosity of volunteer knitters and buyers from all over the country!

Our mission is one of hope and joy.    Together, we WILL find a cure!!
